Mussoorie, popularly referred to as the Queen of Hills, this beautiful hill station is situated around 34 km from Dehradun. Deemed as one of the most beautiful hill stations across the country, it promises amazing opportunities to relax and have a fabulous time.

Gun Hill

It is known as the second highest peak of picturesque region of Mussoorie. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the most beautiful spot in Mussoorie from Mall Road. If you take the Ropeway distance, the awesome sight is only 400 metres. The ride is thrilling and memorable. Gun Hill ensures an enchanting view of the Himalayan ranges including Pithwara, Bandarpunch, Gangotri group, Srikantha, etc. It is from here you can get a bird's eye view of Queen of Hills, Mussoorie. According to a pre-independence event, a gun was mounted on top of the hill. This gun was fired announcing the mid-day arrival which helped people living around the hill adjust watches and clocks. Hence, the place was given the name, 'Gun Hill'.

Kempty Fall

Situated on the hilly tracks the beautiful Kempty Falls are only 13 km from main Mussoorie on the Chakrata Road. These falls were developed as a tourist destination by John Mekinan, a British officer during 1835. It is said that the term Kempty is derived from the word 'camp-tea'. Kempty Fall enjoys the distinction of being the most beautiful and biggest waterfall. Both children and adults enjoy bathing at the foot here.

Camel's Back Road

This is one of the most unique roads of India which starts from Kulri Bazar near Rink Hall and then ends at Library Bazar. The road covers a distance of around 3 kms in all. Kids and adults enjoy walking on the road and horse riding. The main attraction here is the sunset view of the Himalayas. It is a mesmerising scene. Tourists can get a clear view of Camel's Rock that has a life like resemblance.

Mussoorie Lake

Although a newly developed picnic spot, the scenic lake attracts many tourists. Located precisely on Mussoorie-Dehradun road, it makes for a delightful spot. Tourists can use pedal boats available for enjoyment. Boating around the lake will offer you a marvellous view of Doon Valley and nearby villages.

Jharipani Fall

Situated around 8.5 kms from Mussoorie precisely on Mussoorie- Jharipani Road, near Jharipani village, the captivating Jharipani Falls promises a mesmerising view of Shivalik Range. Once here, tourists can also have a look at varied species of wild flowers, shrubs, creepers, and many more. The entire site bordering these falls will leave you spellbound.
